My Qualifications

My Story
I began CrossFit in the summer of 2007 looking for a way to break through the tedium of a powerlifting routine. Though strong, I was always left wanting after each training was completed. I knew there had to be a better way. Landing at CrossFit SoCal, I quickly became aware of what my program was lacking, and became hooked ever since. This love and passion for athletics has steered me away from a job in the software industry back to school in pursuit of a career in physical therapy.
Within the CrossFit Community, I have been a judge at the 2008 CrossFit Games in Aromas. I also Competed in the Southwest Regionals in 2009, and in the affiliate competition at the Games in 2009 placing 7th for CrossFit SoCal.
I believe that the benefits of the CrossFit program stretch far beyond the superficial. Mental toughness develops as each WOD is conquered, builds both physical and social confidence, and most importantly erases the word "can't" from one’s vocabulary. The community that CrossFit attracts not only becomes the driving force behind a successful gym, but relationships between members grow to feel like a second family. In addition to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere, this relationship between members also builds a competitiveness that serves to drive each individual to perform their best at whatever task is thrown at them. These are things that have solidified my belief that CrossFit is the best program out there for achieving overall fitness.
